What is The DiverseCity Arts Fund?
DiverseCity is focused on building capacity within the local arts ecosystem and as part of that objective, seeks to expand the canon of works by Malaysian artists that engage audiences locally and abroad.
The DiverseCity Arts Fund (DAF) aims to support the creation, production and presentation of such works of distinctive artistic content.
The recipient of the grant from DAF will be expected to present and promote the completed work at the next instalment of the Kuala Lumpur International Arts Festival (KLIAF) in September 2018 or, in special circumstances, September 2019. DAF will also use its best endeavours to connect grant recipients with other partners to support their creative process and present their completed work to an audience beyond Kuala Lumpur.
What does DAF support?
DAF provides funding for new original or new adapted works within the Performing Arts form. This includes supporting:

The grant is capped at up to RM250,000 for each selected project. On average, DAF expects to award up to 1-2 projects a year, depending on the quality of submissions.
