October 1, 2019 | Outreach Program
Class is in session! The children dance class continues in PPR Seri Tioman. On 14th September 2019, the class was conducted after a short hiatus of silence. However, the children of PPR Seri Tioman 1 showed a tremendous level of interest and enthusiasm for the dance classes to continue.
By the time we got there, there were about 10 children eagerly waiting in front of the hall waiting for the day’s session. Another 4 participants joined in as the teacher, Muhammad Zul Adha Bin Mohd Nazri from National Academy of Arts, Culture and Heritage (ASWARA), was about to begin the class.
Adha began the class with a recap of what they have done in the previous classes. The children proved their interest and dedication in the dance classes as they were able to remember the steps of the dances.
In this class, they learn continued learning new steps in the Zapin dance and introduced to a new traditional dance. Seeing the children’s effort in learning the dance moves, refreshments were prepared by one of the parents of the participants.
The class was made more lively by the teacher as they played some simple games during the 2 break sessions in the dance class.
